Latest blog entries - Eloti tV Board short lists 2,634 for Police Academy The Recruitment Board of the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, Kano, has short listed 2,634 applicants for 619 available slots for the Second Regular Course of the Academy’s degree programme. Those short listed were the successful candidates that took part in the entrance examination held on June 7. A statement issued on Tuesday by the Assistant Director (Press and Public Relations) of the Police Service Commission, Mr. Ferdinand Ekpe, however, did not state the total number of candidates that applied for admission. The statement said a member of the Board, Yakubu Mohammad, a retired Deputy Inspector General of Police, promised an improvement over the 2013 edition of the exercise. The statement recalled a tragedy that occurred in the 2013 edition when one of the applicants died during the physical exercise segment. Latest blog entries - Eloti tV LASAA Mobilises Electronic Billboard Operators On Ebola Sensitisation In a related development, the Lagos State Signage and Advertisement Agency (LASSA) is collaborating with  Advertising Agencies in the State to commence a public awareness campaign aimed at containing the spread of Ebola Virus Disease.   The initiative would involve the use of electronic billboards in conveying messages about Ebola disease in strategic locations across the State. According to the Managing Director of the Agency, Mr George Noah, the campaign would focus on key areas related to the spread and management of the disease, focusing on modes of transmission, preventive measures, symptoms and helplines. Mr Noah explained that the messages on the billboard would enlighten the public more about the disease and the need to adopt preventive measures.
