Abducted Schoolgirls, "booty of war", Says Shekau

The leader of the infamous Boko Haram sect, Sheikh Abubakar Shekau,  Monday declared that he was responsible for the abducted of over 200 schoolgirls from Government Secondary School, Chibok, insisting that they are spoils of war.



Shekau, who is perhaps the most wanted Nigerian in history, as both Nigerian and US governments have placed a bounty on him, said the abducted schoolgirls are no more than slaves that he can choose whatever he wants with.
The terrorist leader, in a 57-minute video recording, said he may decide to send them as articles in the market or give them out in marriage.



He said the girls have spent over 20 days in his custody and he has been treating them as "booty of war."



Shekau who did not display  the girls throughout the recording, said: " We would also give their hands in marriage because they are our slaves. We would marry them out at the age of nine. We would marry them out at the age of 12," it depends on "our choice".
