In spite of the recent atrocities orchestrated by the Islamic extremist sect Boko Haram and the kidnapping of more than 234 female students of Government Secondary School (GSS) Chibok, the Nigeria Army Wednesday said it was studying the situation and responding appropriately.

The Commander Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC), Minna, Maj-Gen. Saliu Uba disclosed this while inspecting and monitoring the level of work done on the ongoing rehabilitation of the barrack  with the Chairman Presidential Committee on Barracks Rehabilitation (PCBR) .

According to Uba, "a lot of policies have been on the making and we have visited schools, we have re-strategised, we have done a lot and we are still doing a lot, we are studying the situation and we are responding appropriately".
