The United States consul-general in Lagos, Jeffrey Hawkins, has urged Nigerians to work towards building a strong united country in spite of the religious and cultural differences in the country


Hawkins, who spoke at his residence in Ikoyi, Lagos during the Iftar dinner with Muslim and Christians scholars, said the killings by Boko Haram should not be allowed to split and derail the nation’s potential for greatness.


He stressed that “what brings Nigerians together is stronger than what may seek to divide them.”

According to the Managing Director of the Agency, Mr George Noah, the campaign would focus on key areas related to the spread and management of the disease, focusing on modes of transmission, preventive measures, symptoms and helplines. Mr Noah explained that the messages on the billboard would enlighten the public more about the disease and the need to adopt preventive measures. SDMIT Cubers – A team lead by Prithveesh K created a New Guinness World Record, titled “Largest Dual Sided Rubik’s Cube Mosaic” finally measured 14.981 sq m (4,500 Rubik’s cubes). Event took place in Indraprastha Indoor Stadium, Ujire, Karnataka, India on 2nd October 2016. The mosaic is constructed vertically that depicts the images on both the sides using 3x3x3 Rubik’s Cube only. The image of Charlie Chaplin and Mr.Bean was represented on two sides.
