Onuorah emerges PPN candidate – Vanguard News

Chief Henry Onuorah has been nominated the governorship candidate of the Peoples Party of Nigeria, PPN.

Onuorah is from Awka South in the Anambra Central senatorial zone of the state.

At the party’s primary held in Awka, Onuorah emerged winner by scoring 23 votes from the official 30 delegates made of the state executive members and the 21 local government chairmen of the party.

The exercise, which was monitored by officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, was witnessed by PPN supporters from all the 326 wards of the state.

In his acceptance speech, Onuorah promised to provide good governance to the people, adding that he would actively involve the grassroots in his administration if elected.

He explained that his priorities would be infrastructural development, education and youth empowerment.

Chairman of the party in the state, Mr. Nelson Ihenatuoha said the party would soon marshal out a campaign programme for the candidate to enable him succeed.
