Transfer news: The latest rumours from Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal and all the top teams
Goal takes a look at the biggest transfer stories from the Premier League, La Liga, Serie A and beyond throughout the ongoing summer window
SWANSEA SET TO LAND RENATO SANCHES
Swansea City are on the verge of sealing a sensational loan deal for Bayern Munich youngster Renato Sanches, reports DiMarzio.com.
The 20-year-old Portugal international has failed to settle in Germany since moving from Benfica last season, and is now expected to leave the club.
And Swansea, whose manager Paul Clement worked with Sanches at the Allianz Arena, reportedly are set to complete a loan deal worth €5 million along with a purchase option of €30m.
ARSENAL DON’T WANT AGUERO
Arsenal have ruled out signing Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero as part of any deal which could see Alexis Sanchez head in the opposite direction, claims the Daily Mirror .
Reports have claimed that City could offer Aguero as part of their bid to persuade Arsenal to sell Alexis before the transfer window closes.
However, even if City are prepared to let Aguero go, Arsenal have no interest in signing the Argentine due to the attacking options they already have.
FELLAINI SET FOR MAN UTD EXIT
Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini could be set to leave Old Trafford with Fenerbahce looking to sign the Belgium international next summer, according to the Sun .
Fellaini is seen as a key part of the United squad by manager Jose Mourinho, and the Super Lig club are prepared to wait 12 months to secure a transfer. The 29-year-old was linked with Juventus earlier in the summer but a move did not materialise.
SPURS LEAD £30M GRAY CHASE
Tottenham are now leading the race to sign Leicester winger Demarai Gray before the transfer window closes on Thursday, reports the Daily Mirror .
Bournemouth have already offered almost £30 million for Gray, and Crystal Palace have also been linked with an approach as part of a swap deal involving Andros Townsend, but Spurs are keen to complete a deal for the England Under 21 international.
ARSENAL MAKE VAZQUEZ OFFER
Arsenal have made an offer for Real Madrid winger Lucas Vazquez, according to Diario Gol.
The Spain international has become an important option for Zinedine Zidane, but has not locked down a place in the starting XI due to competition from the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, Marco Asensio and more.
Roma, Juventus and Liverpool have also been credited with an interest in the 26-year-old.
COSTA COULD JOIN LAS PALMAS
Diego Costa could be set for a surprise loan switch to Las Palmas to help facilitate his transfer to Atletico Madrid, according to the Sun .
The 28-year-old is expected to leave Chelsea before the end of the transfer window in order to return to Atletico, but cannot play for the Madrid club until January due to their transfer ban.
The Liga side cannot register any new players until January 1, so a loan move to Las Palmas would help Costa keep fit ahead of the new year.
EVERTON REJECT CHELSEA’S £25M BARKLEY BID
Chelsea have seen their opening £25 million bid for Everton midfielder Ross Barkley rejected, according to a report from the BBC .
The Toffees are said to be holding out for £50m for the 23-year-old, though with only a year left on his contract the asking price may be dropped before Thursday’s transfer deadline.
Barkley has turned down a new deal at Everton, with the midfielder wanting to make the move to the Premier League champions.
AGUERO COULD SEEK MAN CITY EXIT
Sergio Aguero may seek to leave Manchester City this January if he continues to be overlooked by manager Pep Guardiola, according to the Manchester Evening News .
Aguero was left out of City’s 2-1 win over AFC Bournemouth at the weekend, with Gabriel Jesus instead picked to lead the line.
City have had a £50 million bid rejected for Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez but remain confident of signing the Chilean, meaning more competition for Aguero may soon arrive.
The club do not currently want to sell the 29-year-old, but are aware he may seek a transfer at the turn of the year if he is still down Guardiola’s pecking order, particularly with the World Cup in Russia looming.
LEICESTER MAY SWAP GRAY FOR TOWNSEND
Leicester City could swap Demarai Gray for Andros Townsend before the transfer deadline, according to the Daily Mirror .
The Foxes were keen to sign Townsend in a straight cash deal and made a £27 million bid, but they are now in discussions over potentially sending Gray to Selhurst Park, along with £10m.
EVERTON EYE WATFORD’S OKAKA
Everton want to sign Stefano Okaka from Watford on loan before the transfer deadline, report the Daily Mirror .
The powerful forward is not first choice at Vicarage Road but is admired by Ronald Koeman, who has yet to replace Romelu Lukaku following the Belgian’s transfer to Manchester United.
MOURINHO WANTS MAHREZ AT UTD
Jose Mourinho wants to bring Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez to Manchester United, according to SFR Sport .
The former Chelsea boss is trying to persuade the United hierarchy to bring in the Algeria international, who has made it clear he wants to leave the Foxes.
COSTA NEARS £41M ATLETICO MOVE
Diego Costa is edging closer to a move to Atletico Madrid as the club are in talks with Chelsea to re-sign him for £41 million, the Evening Standard claims.
The striker has not returned to Chelsea since the summer break and has publicly criticised the club for the way they have treated him. A return to Atletico has long been his preferred destination and it seems a breakthrough in talks has finally been made. If the deal does materialise, he will be unable to feature until January 2018 due to the transfer ban imposed on the club.
WEST BROM WIN KRYCHOWIAK RACE
West Brom have won the race to sign Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak, according to The Sun .
The former Sevilla star has struggled since moving to Parc des Princes last summer and is surplus to requirements under Unai Emery.
Chelsea and Juventus have both been monitoring his situation but he is set to join the Baggies on a season-long loan deal.
MONACO EYE CARVALHO MOVE
If Monaco sell Fabinho to Paris Saint-Germain, they will replace him with William Carvalho, L’Equipe reports.
The Sporting midfielder has been on the radar of many of Europe’s top clubs for several years but could move to Stade Louis II for around €35m.
MONACO MAKE €80M BELOTTI OFFER
Monaco are set to make an €80 million offer for Andrea Belotti, according to La Stampa .
The Torino striker has attracted interest from Arsenal, Chelsea and AC Milan among others over the last year, but remains with the Serie A side with just days left of the transfer window.
A move could still materialise, though, as Leonardo Jardim’s side are making their move to sign him to boost their attack as Kylian Mbappe is set to confirm a move to Paris Saint-Germain.
MONACO TARGET ARDA TURAN
Monaco have shown a late interest in signing Arda Turan this summer as the midfielder looks for a way out of Barcelona, Mundo Deportivo reports.
The 30-year-old has started just 23 of the 36 La Liga games he has played for the Catalan side since joining from Atletico Madrid. The Turkey international’s agent, Jorge Mendes, has held talks with Barca over the Turkey international’s future, with Galatasaray tipped as a potential destination.
However, Ligue 1 champions Monaco are looking to further add to their ranks amid a host of big-name departures and could make a move for Turan before the end of the window.
LIVERPOOL’S £180M PLAN
Liverpool are looking to add to a deal for Naby Keita and take their late window spending to £180 million by landing Virgil van Dijk and Thomas Lemar, reports The Su n .

Keita is set to link up with the Reds next summer , but Jurgen Klopp remains keen to get bodies on board this year before the window closes.
