APGA is dead — Ex-House Leader

By Chimaobi Nwaiwu

FORMER Minority Leader in the Anambra State House of Assembly, and All Progressives Congress, APC, stalwart, Hon. Ifeanyi Ibegbu, has called on his party to intensify reconciliation talks towards soothing all frayed nerves after the primaries.

Ibegbu, who was one of the three lawmakers elected on the platform of the All Peoples Party, APP, in 1999 said he strongly believes in APC winning the state, but that the right things must be done. He also affirmed that APGA has lost the goodwill of the people even as he affirmed he would not return to the PDP.

“As one of the leaders of APC in Onitsha North, my people are my interest, where my people want us to go is where we are going, we are not interested in who is involved, but definitely, we are not for All Progressives Grand Alliance, because the party has failed the people of the state and Onitsha North in particular.

Honourable Ibegbu who ruled out the possibility of going back to PDP, which he left for APC said that “there is need for APC in the state and the party standard-bearer Dr. Nwoye to start consultation with the party leaders to address some thorny issues for the party to achieve victory.”
