The second of two Wisconsin girls who stabbed a classmate 19 times – in the name of a fictional Internet horror character known as Slenderman – will avoid prison when she enters a plea of guilty by reason of mental illness, her attorney said. Morgan Geyser, 15, will enter the plea Thursday to the charge of first-degree intentional homicide. She was scheduled to stand trial before a jury next month, but after her plea there will be no trial, her attorney said. There were reports of multiple active shooters at the US Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs on Friday night, just hours after the academy’s superintendent Lt. Gen Jay Silveria gave a speech against racism. A 22-year-old Florida father is facing a murder charge after being accused of killing his infant daughter by hitting her in the head and fracturing her skull while he was “stressed” in the aftermath of Hurricane Irma, PEOPLE confirms. An affidavit obtained by PEOPLE states that Dekari Castell allegedly told police he was “highly stressed” from “being without power” following the hurricane and lost control of himself on Sept. 13 when his 6-month-old, Kali, would not stop crying. Castell confessed to punching the girl twice, the affidavit alleges. Once she was quiet after being hit, Castell allegedly told investigators, he laid her down to sleep and then called her mother several times, asking her to hurry over to his home in Orlando, Florida. Kali was rushed to a nearby hospital, according to the affidavit, where was pronounced dead the next day. The committee in a statement in Abuja said it arrived at the decision after reviewing “the written and oral representation of Mr. Ken Emeakayi, including the numerous documents submitted to the Committee by him in respect of the allegations of refusing to obey lawful directions of the party as contained in the queries issued him and his response thereto. “The Committee further considered the provisions of the Constitution of the party and found Mr. Ken Emeakayi to have committed infraction against the provisions of Section 58 (1) (b), (c) and (h) of the PDP Constitution.
